Good morning. Good times.: CHFI Morning Show Campaign
Capitalizing on the established "Good morning. Good times." brand positioning, we launched a fully integrated, multi-platform campaign for the market's leading morning show hosts, Darren and Mo. Deployed across broadcast television, high-impact out-of-home (OOH), digital, and social channels, the creative strategy focused on humanizing the broadcast personalities by placing them directly into authentic, hyper-relatable morning scenarios with locals.
Our hosts were immersed in real-life scenarios designed to showcase their genuine, infectious personalities in an authentic way. By capturing them interacting directly with locals as they start their daily routines, the creative established an immediate emotional connection with the audience and reinforced the show's position as a staple of the city’s morning culture.

To achieve a distinct, highly saturated "good morning" visual aesthetic, we commissioned legendary Saturday Night Live photographer Mary Ellen Matthews to lens the stills campaign. Bringing her signature high-energy, vibrant portrait style to the project allowed us to elevate standard promo imagery into an eye-catching, premium gallery that commanded attention across both print and digital spaces.

Strategically architected as an episodic, trilogy-style rollout, the campaign sustained audience engagement over consecutive seasons. The narrative journey unfolded across three distinct, community-focused environments; beginning in a neighbourhood diner, transitioning to an elementary school for the autumn wave, and culminating in an expansive transit-themed spring finale.

A defining, viral anchor of the final transit wave was a scene-stealing, 9-foot subway bear that quickly became a massive fan favorite. I personally sourced this larger-than-life creature prop to inject an element of surreal humour into the scene. To preserve the visual integrity of the campaign, the advanced post-production retouching was executed by an elite specialist hand-picked and recommended by Mary Ellen Matthews’ own team, ensuring a flawless, world-class final output.
